Staying on Top of MIS Fashion Waves and Publishing Papers in SSCI Journals
Many scholars had their papers rejected by SSCI journals because they missed addressing some essential elements associated with any journal publications.  A common understanding of these problems can help the audience assess the challenges of publishing their papers to SSCI journals. Secondly, information systems scholars have been coping with emerging information systems issues. The rapid changes to the information systems field pose a central question to IS researchers: what would be the next hot MIS topics to research?  The audience will learn the nature of “fashion waves” in information systems research and practice, and discuss what hot topics may interest editors of leading MIS journals, including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research and Journal of Management Information Systems.  Lastly, the audience can learn from the past experiences of the presenter about how he addressed those essential elements of SSCI paper publications, and tried staying on top of next MIS fashion waves.
