Abstract: This case described a dilemma encountered by Sky Network Technology Co. Ltd (Sky-mobi), who suffered after having been listed for half a year. Pressure came from four sources -booming growth of Smartphone in the Mobile Internet market which posed challenge to Sky-mobi’s business model, China concept stocks being confronted with share bubble and confidence crisis in US stock market, Shy-mobi’s share price slumping sharply since Sky-mobi got questioned by Citron Research, financial pressure and personnel unrest within Sky-mobi - posed the strategy transformation problem to Sky-mobi. Song Tao, entrepreneur and CEO of Sky-mobi, should make clear the company’s future direction as soon as possible: to retain or to abandon the shanzhai market, and how to gain a firm foothold in Smartphone market?
